I did a talk at LCA yesterday evening that covered Embedded GPUs and Open Source (or the lack thereof); slides are available here:

I'm happy to answer questions about the presentations or to talk about the problems and possible solutions. One interesting outcome was the idea of a one-day cross-vendor summit that we could tack onto an existing open source event; Plumbers would be an interesting event for that and if enough people are interested I'd be willing to put effort into helping make that happen.
