It looks like just sending things to linaro-dev will be the easiest and most transparent. Hopefully this will be one less thing to worry about. I'll keep the alias around for a bit.
Now the question is should we shut down #linaro-android? Ideas?

Although I think "linaro-android@linaro.org" is easy to use, especially inside the team, but if consider about the development information sharing and to avoid duplicate discussion, send message to linaro-dev may be the most efficient way.
I don't think we should shut down the #linaro-android because it's an open channel rather than the private mailing list "linaro-android@linaro.org". People can join this channel freely, and the discussion in this channel can be seen by everyone, so there is no information sharing and duplicate discussion issues.

You can still keep linaro-android for administrative stuff that is really private only to the team. But you could rename it like the PMWG did for their private-only alias.
