Scott,
It would be nice to have some landing team folks subscribe to
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/linaro-platforms-o-kernel-leb…
I believe we have had some chaos at the end of both release cycles so
far with trying to add additional features to the packaged kernel. It
would be nice if we could make it a little less painful next time
around.
Thanks,
John
Hello all:
Lee will be giving a talk about upstreaming in his electrifying
presentation titled "What is upstreaming and why should we bother?".
The presentation [1] is targeted at managers involved in such act or
engineers who just started upstreaming, or want to do it.
Please spread the work to everyone you think can benefit from this. We
will tape it so it will be available on youtube post LDS. The
presentation is scheduled for 10:00 on Thursday (May 12th) local time.
Please check the schedules regularly as it might change.
Slides [1] will be available by Tuesday.

The 11.05 Linaro release is coming soon after LDS. And LDS is next
week. I therefore would like to have everything merged in the Linaro
kernel _this_ week i.e. before LDS so there is still a bit of time after
it to fix any problems that may show up (I don't count on any time
available for this during LDS).
That means only two days left.
I've been in contact with all the landing teams for a while prodding
them about their work. So they know about this already. But if there
is anyone else with pending work to be merged in the Linaro kernel
please let me know ASAP!
Nicolas
Hi there,
Several people have suggested that we should start providing prebuilt
Linaro images for those who can't/won't install and run
linaro-media-create (or any other tool that they have to install in
order to generate an image), so we're going to discuss that at LDS. If
you know of anybody who can't/won't install l-m-c, I'd like to know more
about it, so I'd appreciate if you could answer the questions or provide
us with some user stories:
https://wiki.linaro.org/Platform/Infrastructure/Specs/PrebuiltImages
And if you're interested on this, don't forget to subscribe to
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/linaro/+spec/linaro-platforms-o-prebuilt-i…
Cheers,

Andy Green has worked on a set of patches adding many features to OMAP4
such as HDMI audio/video, FM receiver, etc. Before I merge that into
the Linaro kernel tree I need some assurance that this won't break
existing OMAP3 support, especially video. The branch is available in
the linux-linaro-2.6.38 Git repository on git.linaro.org, in the
"testing" branch.
So please if you have an OMAP3 board and can perform some testing that
would be appreciated.
