Hello All,
On 22/07/17 from 10:00 to 15:00 UTC, review.linaro.org is going to be
offline for a Gerrit upgrade.
We will be moving to the latest version (2.14), which will bring in some
new features and improvements.
Regards
Ben
Hello all,
Unfortunately Jenkins requires a restart due to a the Gerrit plugin bug.
Currently the server is in shutdown mode, I've had to clear some jobs
that are blocking the shutdown.
Jenkins should be back to normal within the next hour.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Ben
I will be deploying new redundant power strips inside the Austin Colo on
Saturday, July 15. The window will begin around 8PM Central time. It
should take less than 2 hours to complete.
The most noticeable disruption will be the power cycling of our main
router which will take about 10 minutes for it to reboot. During this
time, all systems in the colo will be on, but won't be reachable externally.
I'll then be updating each network switch. Each one will knock off a
different set of users during the time it takes to reboot (a couple of
minutes at most).
Finally I'll be rebooting a few infrastructure servers. The only
noticeable one of this list will be the US Developer Cloud's primary
network node. During this reboot all systems will lose internal and
external access to the Internet.
The first test rebuild of Artful Aardvark was started on July 6 for all
architectures, all components (main component and seeded packages finished,
unseeded packages still building).
For arm64 and armhf the gcc-6 packages are based on the Linaro 6-2017.06
snapshot.
Results (please also look at the superseded builds) can be found at
http://qa.ubuntuwire.org/ftbfs/rebuilds/test-rebuild-20170706-artful.html
The test rebuild uses binutils, gcc-6, gcc-7 and linux packages currently still
in the proposed release pocket, which can also be found separately in the PPA
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-toolchain-r/+archive/ubuntu/ppa
Additional build failures for packages in artful-proposed (not yet in artful)
can be found at http://qa.ubuntuwire.com/ftbfs/
Please help fixing the build failures.
Another test rebuild using GCC 7 as the default can be found at
http://qa.ubuntuwire.org/ftbfs/rebuilds/test-rebuild-20170706-gcc7-artful.h…
For arm64 and armhf the gcc-7 packages are based on the Linaro 7-2017.06
snapshot.
The test rebuild uses gcc-defaults, binutils, gcc-6, gcc-7 and linux packages
currently still in the proposed release pocket, which can also be found
separately in the PPA
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-toolchain-r/+archive/ubuntu/test
We are planning the transition to GCC 7 for late July / August. Please help
fixing the build issues using the update GCC.
Information about transitioning to GCC 7 can be found at:
* https://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-7/porting_to.html
* https://wiki.debian.org/GCC7
* Please forward patches for GCC 7 build failures to the bug reports
already filed in Debian (see the above wiki page for the bug list).

That isn't entirely clear. What are you trying to do in the LXC?
You need to deploy an LXC, start it with a boot action for the LXC and
then start a test shell in the LXC where you can install the tools you
need to execute.
Talking to the device from the LXC can be difficult depending on how
the device is configured. To use networking, you would have to have a
fixed IP for the device. To use USB, you need to use the device_info
support in the device dictionary to add the USB device to the LXC.

More information is needed on exactly what you are trying to do, how
the LXC is to connect to the device and what support the device offers
to allow for those operations.
