I was migrating changes from GB(K 2.6.35) to K 3.0 but every time my PMEM allocation in board file leads to crash the kernel before serial up. Now I am taking CAF kernel as reference but the change in MACHINE_START structure(addition of init_early) in CAF code is working fine. Please tell why it is crashing without init_early which is not present in K 2.6.35 and it was working fine and also the associated changes to this.
The mentions of Gingerbread and PMEM suggest that you are working on one or more of the Android kernels hosted at the Code Aurora Forum. If you are a customer of Qualcomm, you will certainly find better support by going through proper customer support channels.
Keep in mine that I, and I believe Linaro as well, are primarily going to be focused on the current Linux mainline kernel, and less so on out of tree changes.
Aside from that, there isn't enough information in the question for someone to really be able to answer it. I would suggest following (or reading archives) of some of the linux kernel mailing lists to get an idea of the kinds of questions that tend to get answered.
