What hardware are you developing for anyway? If it is Samsung hardware, then you should be aware that Samsung Poland is doing a lot of work in V4L2 to add support to the s5p SoC series.
I know a lot of people from the polish R&D office. A lot of them work in the open hacking on the kernel daily. Perhaps we should contact them and encourage them to work with us more closely.
