Hmm ... just made a patch going the other direction:

lp:~asac/linaro-image-tools/boot-snippet-cleanup

Here what would happen if we use UUID everywhere:

lp:~asac/linaro-image-tools/unity-omap-bootcmd

I guess someone (mattman?) should sign this off and see if everything is still fine in qemu.
