git.linaro.org in my browser is sending me to Launchpad authentication page (https://linaro-private.git.linaro.org/openid/+login). And I can't access the public git trees. is that a known issue?

yep, known problem from this morning. Rajanikanth discovered and reported it a few hours ago and we've had IS looking into the issue.
