Hello,
I was experimenting lots of issues (either the wlcore dirver was failing to initialize, either the kernel module was crashing after less than 4 hours of activity) with my wifi card on a hikey board using the current version of the firmware-hikey-nonfree debian package that bundle the wl18xx firmware (Rev 8.9.0.0.76) from TI. Then I upgraded the wifi to the last version (Rev 8.9.0.0.79) available on: https://git.ti.com/cgit/wilink8-wlan/wl18xx_fw/ as it suggested on http://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless-connectivity/wifi/f/968/t/736636 Now the system is a lot more stable, I did not experiment any crash for now (about 24hours of uptime). It may be nice to have this fw version from the debian package you provide on http://obs.linaro.org/linaro-overlay-stretch/Debian_9.0/
Regards,
