has no info on how to access connect remotely. Who knows about this and where is it written down?
If it's hangouts for example I need to sort out a machine with a camera, relevant proprietary software and a google+ account. It'd be good not to be scrambling to do that at 1am monday morning.

Hi all,
I have just tried to follow some sessions recorded during the first day of Linaro Connect and I have experienced some troubles with the camera position and sound recording. Actually, recording the people in the meeting room seems not so interesting and the sound is terrible: No way to hear Arnd or Linus speaking (I was interested in arm-soc and pinctrl)...
So, if you can give me advices or maybe rethink the camera location, that could help.
Best regards, and have a great Connect in HK!

Management, did you hear this ? How is possible in 2012 to not have the standard in the TV-show technology ?
Hi,
If you are in a session where you can't hear or see PLEASE let the session leader know. We have folks here on standby to go fix that situation should it occur. It's often just a quick gain adjustment on the mixer board and a quick reposition of the camera that fixes the issue.
You can ping someone on IRC to find myself (joey) or Amber (akgraner) and we can get folks on it.

Hi,
The audio issue with this morning's (Tuesday) plenary session has been fixed. Hopefully you'll be ok in the morning but if not just poke me on IRC.

Hello Nicolas,
Thanks for the heads-up. We had to do a pretty major change to how the recording was done and this is why it's turned into a bit of a maiden run for this Connect. Today I'm listening in on all the sessions and making sure they are fixed -- if you have an issue, you can IM me on g+ (I know, but even Linus uses it..) and I'll get it sorted.
Thanks to everybody who is attending remotely, I really want to see this working well and am keen on hearing when it isn't.

Hi Kiko,
My comments here are meant to help us get it right going forward, but some of my frustration may show through. I know this is the first time we've done this, and teething troubles are to be expected.
Basically I know that Deepti and I have both had the same problems over the last couple of days:
Yesterday we both wanted to go into the LAVA View development session at 11:00AM (HKT) but there was no obvious link or information so that we could join in. In my case, Michael Hudson sent me an invite and I was finally able to get in, but it was the lack of a clear link or instructions on joining a hangout that was frustrating.
Then this morning I Deepti and I wanted to listen in on the stream form the Engineering View Presentations session at 10. Nobody in there seemed to be responding to IRC and nobody else knew where to access the stream. I liked on Amber's youtube site, but that session wasn't listed, and looking now I still don't see it.
And I know we're not the only people who've had frustrations with the remote Connect connection. It's not just about quality, it's about ease of use.
There may well be a central place to look for the links but I haven't found it, but it would probably be most helpful if the Launchpad page had the room IRC, hangout and stream links.

I'm going to do a remote access test session tomorrow with Joey; we could set one up at a time which allowed you to test with us if you will be around.
