Free (as in freedom) website graphics traces

Hi all! Web browsing is one of the most common and important activities performed on modern consumer mobile devices. As such, it receives special attention in our benchmarking blueprint. In order to have reproducible and automatic benchmarking for web browsing, we need to acquire graphics traces for browsing sessions that can be played back at a later time. Both cairo (used in Gecko and WebkitGtk) and Qt provide mechanisms for performing graphics operation capture and playback. Unfortunately, due to copyright restrictions, we are only able to redistribute traces captured from websites that license their content under a Free license. We have set up a wiki page that contains a preliminary list of websites that we can use in this way: https://wiki.linaro.org/WorkingGroups/Middleware/Graphics/Docs/WebsiteTraces Please feel free to add any other websites that are suitable for this purpose. Furthermore, to assist with website trace capture we have created a set of tools that load and scroll a set of webpages using the most common rendering engines. There is currently support for Gecko, WebkitGtk and QtWebkit. These tools may prove useful for other groups, too. You can find more information in the wiki page linked above. Thanks, Alexandros

linaro-omap kernel 1003.6 boot failure

Hi, (writing from my work address as frederic.turgis(a)linaro.org lost password is still not reset ;-) ) To perform some systemtap checking, I need kernel package with debug symbols, which is available in 1003.6 version from http://ddebs.ubuntu.com/pool/universe/l/linux-linaro-omap/ So I did some apt-get update, install linux-image-2.6.37-1003-linaro-omap followed by flash-kernel 2.6.37-1003-linaro-omap. Boot fails at some point (before setting up omap_hsuart in an OK log from 2.6.37-1002) Any known issue or thing I am doing wrong ? [PATCH] ARM: Samsung: change suspend/resume code to depend on CONFIG_SUSPEND

This causes problems if one wants to enable Runtime PM (to control power domains for example), but doesn't need system suspend/resume feature. This also enables to use Runtime PM feature on S5PV310 which doesn't implement system suspend/resume callbacks yet. Enclosed you'll find a link to the agenda, minutes and actions from the Linaro Toolchain working group weekly meetings of Feb 21, 2011. https://wiki.linaro.org/WorkingGroups/ToolChain/Meetings/2011-02-21 == Summary == * FSF Copyright assignment is now in place * GCC 4.6 build and test complete, pushed an updated to the bzr branch, the branch is now up to mainline state as of the 12th. * Submitted PR46178, PR46002 patches the first already approved and committed. * Tracked down the problem causing serial console to break: the new Linux driver uses some extra features of the UART which we weren't modelling. * Merged, reviewed and submitted many patches related to correctness. * Investigating developer tools: looked into what people use, looked into alternatives to ltrace as it has issues on many platforms. latrace looks quite good on ARM. * Implemented missing epoll syscalls for qemu usermode and submitted upstream * Identified root cause of GDB problems running on Versatile Express in SMP mode, and verified that Errata workaround fixes the problem * Finished testing GDB HW watchpoints patch on vexpress, submitted complete patch set for mainline inclusion * Will provide a patch to override some string routines in Ubuntu, and then consider pushing elsewhere * Looking at Versatile Express QEMU to get Linaro kernel booting Regards, Mounir
