Hi all,
MMWG has done a survey about how OpenMax is used by SoC vendors. A presentation of this survey is now available here : https://wiki.linaro.org/WorkingGroups/Middleware/Multimedia/Specs/1111/OpenM...
This presentation will be shared with Khronos on September 19th.
Regards,
Benjamin

Comments: + not sure, but maybe your findings could be summarized in a table/matrix that is visualiy easier to digest? + you mention that quirks are used a lot for different SoCs; for me this seems to indicate that is something that should get discussed/addressed eventually. Maybe giving overview of the quirks used and the why would help such discussion? + one review round by a native speaker to check language, grammar, etc. would be good
Hi Alexander,
SoC vendors use lot of different quirks for codec configuration (bitrate, number of channels, etc...). But while only TI code is public (ST-E and FreeScale aren't) it is impossible for me to give/write more details about this. I hope that inside Khronos (covered by NDA) the members could discust of this topic.

Couldn't you at least cite as examples the quirks TI uses?
