(repost from debian-arm list)
Hi everyone,
As a follow-up event to http://wiki.debian.org/Sprints/2011/EmdebianSprint
Genesi is also organizing an event in San Antonio. Details about the event
can be found here:
http://wiki.debian.org/Sprints/2011/GenesiSprintSanAntonio
We would like all interested parties to add their names on the wiki page. As
this is a sprint, budget is limited so we can't bring too many people
overseas, though we do have allocated accommodation space for more than the
usual Sprint (~20). For that reason we will give priority to developers from
the US or Latin America.
This one will be a slightly broader-than-Debian event, as we will most-likely
have Freescale engineers from Austin as well, and things like closed-drivers
issues will be available for discussion. We would be especially happy if
Linaro guys eg. from the Kernel and/or Graphics Working Group would be able to
attend :)
For any questions, please email any of the contacts listed in the wiki page.
Regards
Konstantinos
Hi,
In addition to our in-house validation and testing this is a call for
help in testing the images Linaro produces. If you have supported
hardware, as found on:
http://snapshots.linaro.org/10.11-daily/linaro-hwpacks/
and are willing to test, please make your way to:
http://wiki.linaro.org/Releases/DailyBuilds
for an explanation on how to test and submit your results to the QA
tracker at:
http://qatracker.linaro.org
For an explanation of how to use the qatracker please see:
https://wiki.linaro.org/QA/QATracker
Community testing is essential if we are to produce well integrated and
robust Linux on ARM images, with your help we can get there.
Regards,
Jamie.

Hi all,
Anyone able to use bazaar via corkscrew? I have tried the tips in the
link below and am able to authenticate to the proxy but only get time
outs.
http://omappedia.org/wiki/Using_bzr_and_launchpad_behind_a_proxy
I have also added an authentication file like so:
Host *.launchpad.net
ProxyCommand corkscrew <our proxy> 8080 %h %p ~/.auth
User <my user>
This is specifically the ST-Ericsson network which may be nastier than
yours? But any success stories would be nice to hear.
Thanks
Mattias
Hi folks
(Sorry for the late notice, we were caught by surprize by the speed of
this move)
The conference system for phone calls moved to new dial-in numbers this
week; the conf room numbers remain the same as well as leader pins, but
the dial in change; this is a non-exhaustive list:
UK Local +44 207 630 2405
UK Freephone 0800 026 0166
US Local +1 781 761 9450
US Toll Free 1 866 352 2709
Brazil 0800 881 0038
Canada 1 866 352 2710
Finland 800 523 103
France 0 805 980 044
Germany 800 589 0993
New Zealand 800 452 290
Taiwan 0800 265 855
China (North) 10 800 152 1873
China (South) 10 800 852 1873
India 000 800 100 7944
I was told the number for India doesn't work; I'll try finding another
one.
Most calls should have moved to these new numbers, if not please update
the calendar invites!
Thanks

Greetings,
Enclosed you'll find a link to the agenda, minutes and actions from the
Linaro kernel working group weekly meeting of Jan 24, 2011.
https://wiki.linaro.org/WorkingGroups/KernelConsolidation/Meetings/2011-01-…<https://wiki.linaro.org/WorkingGroups/KernelConsolidation/Meetings/2010-11-…>
=== Summary ===
* Progress on RCU priority boosting, kthread offload now working against
2.6.37 series (scheduler issue in 2.6.38 series).
* Sent eMMC patches, looking for more people to test the patches, need
changes to eMMC host driver to do testing, which Per Forlin will do
prototype implementation of. Also, Per will post explanation of what
testing is needed and what is required to do testing.
* Pushing structure-body copying patch for merging with OMAP BSP, hope to
push to Russell King in next couple days. Next, plan to get Thumb 2 support
into OMAP BSP.
* Kicking off a new approach for device tree. Getting close to have
device-tree support for several platforms, will be easy to turn on. Need
"compatible" strings added to existing machine_desc's which will match the
value provided by a device tree. This provides only the framework, which
provides things like memory layout. GPIO, I2C, SPI devices are most
interesting. Will also have a Device-Tree hacking day with an informal
stand-up meeting, probably on Tuesdays.
* Working on device tree for samsung patform, build boots with basic
device tree and adding other portions to device tree, like irq controllers.
* Working on getting 2.6.37-linaro+android booting (init still crashes).
* Config work: Looking at how to allow for selecting a item from a choice
block.
* Need to rebase CLOCK_BOOTTIME and Alarm timers patches and resend to
lkml for more discussion.
* Adding tests to the linaro test harness.
* Working on patch to detect omap 4430 id.

Mounir
